Because I'm an obsessive analog gear junky freak, I recently sold my children to aquire our 4th, yes 4th!, Studer 827 24 track 2inch tape machine.  The best machine ever made hands down (I've never used anything else and I don't plan to), take the otari's and mci's and throw them off a cliff!!
Well our little old B studio now will be fitted with a Studer and Nick's old Soundcraft console with some nice out board toys, a cozy affordable analog production/overdub room. All 3 studios will have a Studer.  Analog recording is alive and well with us,

I know everyone says it's too expensive to record to tape, well they are lying or they don't know what they are talking about or (most likely) have never worked on a Studer 827.  i just ordered 10 reels of 456 and we do not charge tape fees for anyone looking to record a LP with us!

If you made the tragic mistake of tracking to Pro Tools it's not too late, we can transfer your sessions to tape with a lot of success.
